Day 1: Arrival at Puerto Montt
Arrival at Puerto Montt airport, cross Chacao Channel, Check-In and rest at Chepu.
In the evening we will be having our welcome dinner ceremony at Chimango CaraCara.

Day 2: Chepu 12 km Beach Trail – Transfer to Chiloé – Afternoon in Palafito Lodge.
We rise early for our meditation session, overlooking the river, wetlands, mountain and coastal range. After this, we are in for a steep run down through native forest trails until we reach the edging beach on the Pacific ocean through the dunes, wetlands, cows, horses, and birds that inhabit the area.
Before transferring to Chiloe Island, we will savor a delicious brunch offered by our local hosts. In the evening we will enjoy a relaxing sunset practice at the beautiful board terrace with a spectacular view to the lake.

Day 3: Cole cole 12 km Beach Run – Chiloé.
On day 3 we run in the majestic views of Cole Cole, the incredible hidden beach of the Chiloé National Park. It is a beach of clear sand and deep blue sea bordered by a lush jungle. The first thing is to cross a small lagoon that separates the road from the beach.
After spending the day in Cole Cole, we will come back to Chiloé to experience a sunset yoga session at Palafito terrace, with the sounds of the crashing waves.

Day 4: Ferry ride – Chaitén – Pumalín Park Trek – Caleta Gonzalo.
We rise early to tackle the Ferry ride that will take us to Chaitén village, from there we will drive 60km to Caleta Gonzalo, a small town on the seafront, located in the eastern part of the Pumalin National Park, where we will trek through lush forests and waterfalls.

Day 5: Caleta Gonzalo – Michinmahuida Volcano 21 km Run.
Early in the morning we head towards the Douglas Tompkins National Park, where we will follow the forestry Michinmahuida trail, one of the most epic and extensive trails on our trip, its final destination is the western flank of the Michinmahuida stratovolcano, where you can see one of its impressive glaciers.

Day 6: Caleta Gonzalo – Hornopiren Ferry Ride – Rio Puelo Town Transfer Day
Heading south of Caleta Gonzalo we will reach the town of Hornopirén through an incredible ferry ride in the fjords. We will then cross Hornopirén village into the Puelo River, a Chilean river that originates in Argentina famous for its beaches and wells.

Day 7: Rio Puelo Town – Puerto Varas- 16 km Volcano Osorno Run.
For our last run, we will transfer from Río Puelo to Puerto Varas, from there we wil head to the hill of La Picada located to the east of the conical Osorno Volcano, from where we will take the route that ascends gently through the forest area to the edge of the vegetation, until before reaching the sector known as Paso de la Desolación. We will have the privilege of enjoying the majesty of the volcano during the whole route.
We will spend our evening in Puerto Varas, a southern Chilean city, characterized by its traditional German architecture with spectacular views over the lake to the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes.

Day 8: Puerto Varas – Puerto Montt.
In the morning there will be free time to explore the town of Puerto Varas.
At noon, we will shuttle directly from Puerto Varas to Puerto Montt airport arriving at 14:00 hrs.

In the Chilean Lakes District, summer weather is usually mild, but changeable and localized. Inland conditions are relatively sunny, while on the coast and in the west-facing national parks (temperate rainforest), rain is not unusual, with an average daily high temperature below 75°F / 24°C and lowest temperature above 51°F / 11°C.

All of our trips are designed to welcome hikers and runners of all fitness levels. We will assign different guides to groups of different levels so that no one is left behind. You will feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip whether you’re a professional runner that wants to add these runs to your training, an amateur who wants to explore the world of trail-running or a casual hiker who wishes to challenge themselves while enjoying nature in a secure environment.
Fly to El Tepual International Airport (IATA: PMC, ICAO: SCTE), making sure to arrive at least a couple of hours before the retreat begins and to leave a couple of hours after the retreat ends.
Aire Libre Running will provide van shuttles to and from the airport.
