Antigua, Guatemala sits under a chain of volcanoes that form the backbone of the Guatemalan highlands. Within these volcanoes the country’ highest and most famous peaks are found in the Antigua range.
Stay in a Beautiful house with garden, rooftop and heated swimming pool located in the historic center of Antigua Guatemala, with capacity to accommodate in single, double or triple rooms, each with a private bathroom.

Mariella Marroquin – Mindfulness Facilitator.
Mariella Marroquin is from Guatemala and has a long journey as a yogui. She’s been working in wellness and gratitude for more than 6 years. She now focuses on teaching yoga, meditation and sound ceremonies, all of which she has different certifications. She is the founder of Gratitude Journal Project and co-founder of the Mindful Gratitude Program in Guatemala. In addition Mariella also teaches kids horseback riding, being in nature is an important part of her life.
Mariella’s dream and life purpose is to make this world a better place through sharing tools about gratitude and mindfulness, so every person can be the better version of themselves, connect to their inner peace and learn to appreciate everything in their lives.

Day 1: Welcome to La Antigua
Couple of days before the trip, each participant will be given instructions on how to get to our cozy accommodations located in downtown La Antigua. We will set ourselves up with a rooftop sunset yoga session, after which we will share an authentic outdoor welcome dinner cooked by chef Noemi Wild Daughter.

Day 2: El Cucurucho Hill Trail 15 km run
We begin our early morning with a sunrise meditation and a heart-opening ceremony guided by Cosmic Cacao, followed by a homestyle breakfast before departing to Cucurucho Hill, where we will head out on a 9.9-mile round-trip near Antigua Guatemala, in the Cucurucho Hill Trail. During our run we will get to witness how corn, bean and coffee plantations convert into wild vegetation. From here, we will transfer to La Bruja to experience a plant-based Central American lunch.
After some downtime, we will relax with a sound-healing and yoga session at our rooftop.
Dinner will be held at a secret spot in Antigua downtown, with free time to explore the city if desired.

Day 3: The 10K Acatenango Volcano Trail
We rise early for our transfer to the Acatenango Volcano trail where we will get to experience one of the most breathtaking and scenic trails in Guatemala as we contemplate the Fire Volcano erupting right in front of us. Right after, we are in for a steep run down through the volcano leading us down to the Caoba Farms for a farm-to-table brunch.
Afternoon is taken for a homestyle ice-bath and breathing session in Antigua, followed by a sound-healing session.

Day 4: The Pacaya Volcano 9 – 21 Km trail options: Lava Challenge
We kick start our day with in-house baked goods and breakfast made with local ingredients in our bellies. We’ll be able to face the Pacaya Volcano Trail and its challenging route through volcanic landscapes. Back to La Antigua town, we will culminate this afternoon adventure with a breath workshop to then go out for dinner to take a glimpse of the local life.
We will visit Cervecería 14 brewery for a well deserved lunch.
Afternoon will be dedicated to a stretch and meditation session in Antigua.

Day 4: Farewell
Meditation and grounding session, followed by a farewell breakfast and Antigua Flight out

The climate in Antigua Guatemala during January can be summarized as mild and very dry.
January is winter in Antigua Guatemala and is typically the coldest month of the year. Daytime maximum temperatures average around 22ºC (71ºF), whilst at night 9ºC (49ºF) is normal.

All of our trips are designed to welcome hikers and runners of all fitness levels. We will assign different guides to groups of different levels so that no one is left behind. You will feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip whether you’re a professional runner that wants to add these runs to your training, an amateur who wants to explore the world of trail-running or a casual hiker who wishes to challenge themselves while enjoying nature in a secure environment.
Fly to La Aurora, Antigua Guatemala International Airport (IATA Code: GUA), making sure to arrive at least a couple of hours before the getaway begins and to leave a couple of hours after.
