Along Arizona’s Southern limit a steel wall winds through the desert hills, casting a shadow over the sun-baked trails of the Tohono O’odham Nation. Here they honor a culture of running that serves as spiritual medicine, capable of healing the souls of their brothers and sisters, and their own.
We ventured to the land of this Native American tribal community whose geographical epicenter is one of the most controversial in the world: The U.S.– Mexico border. Our purpose was to run these territorial paths together with the “People of the Desert” as one family, and with a spirit of unity that defies physical barriers.
