Discover The World Through Running.

Ep. 24
"Finding Your Own Trail"

with clare gallagher

““My priority is getting in a run, enjoying being outside, breathing air, feeling my body have the privilege to move and be healthy, and cleansing my mind from the overstimulation of our society. ” — Clare Gallagher

Clare Gallagher is a professional ultra trail runner and environmental activist who has won the Leadville 100 and Western States 100 mile races. She’s also set FKTs on the Zion Traverse and the Joshua Tree Traverse.

The way she uses her platform and running to raise awareness and drive change sets her apart. She’s a deep thinker and a writer who explores the intersection of running and mindfulness and our connection to the landscapes we’re in.

The conversation explores running mindfully, keeping other pursuits while running competitively, and using media of all forms with intention.

OUR HOST: ALEX DICKINSON

Alex Dickinson is a writer, runner, and a yoga and meditation teacher. He approaches running and yoga practice with a similar mindset—as ways to connect mind and body, explore internal and external landscapes, and simply feel better. He finds the pairing of the pursuits is greater than the sum of its parts. It’s his mission to share the gifts of these practices fairly and equitably, with a great deal of respect for the roots of the practice and those who have passed it down the generations.
