About the experience

Unique in its natural beauty, mountainous, complex and slightly chaotic, Bolivia is one of Latin America’s most diverse and captivating nations.

This experience has been carefully designed to allow you to connect closely with Bolivia’s Altiplano culture, cuisine and traditions, all while exploring its most iconic and breathtaking natural landscapes.

The city of La Paz will serve as our base during this experience. Here we will enjoy some of the region’s best cultural and gastronomical offerings. During our runs we will venture through the gigantic and otherworldly rock formations of Valle de las Animas at sunrise, dive into some of the nation’s most well preserved indigenous traditions and mystical landscapes on Isla del Sol. A run on the infamous Death Road will take us into Coroico, located at the gates of the Amazonian jungle. Huayna Potosí will take our breath away as we run at 16,141.73 ft. (a.s.l.), taking in all of its beautiful wildlife surrounded by snow capped peaks and glaciers.

Each day will be accompanied by yoga and meditation sessions led by our top yoga and meditation instructors, who will take us on a spiritual journey of inner peace and self-knowledge.

You will feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip whether you're a professional runner that wants to add these runs to your training, an amateur who wants to explore the world of trail-running or a casual hiker who wishes to challenge him- or herself while enjoying nature in a secure environment.

Please note that the altitude of the Altiplano region where the trip will take place is at or above 12,000 feet. At this altitude, the air is much thinner compared to sea level, and will cause shortness of breath and tiredness quickly. Luckily, our longest runs are descents, which makes it easier, but the altitude amplifies the required effort. Believe us, the views, landscapes and experience are well worth the hard work that your lungs will go through.
